Our local family members come over to visit us frequently and this Sunday afternoon our daughter M came over for afternoon tea as usual. She gave me a bunch of roses and lilies and then helped her father with an essential garden task, that is, cleaning the drive and garden paving where some green moss had accumulated using a power wash tool that she had brought with her. We don't want to slip especially on the driveway which slopes slightly. Mr P had cleared out the covered yard beforehand and had put some of the plants that will be overwintered temporarily in the garage. We used the water sparingly and the task was soon done thanks to daughter M's help and her power tool equipment. The covered yard looks empty as the tomatoes in pots have been cleared away after picking the last of them. Today the pot plants in the garage will be put back in the yard. The paintwork needs cleaning and there's still more work to do in the garden as leaves begin to fall.
