Sunshine and Showers

The saying "March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers" seemed true enough as I walked around our neighbourhood on a very warm, sunny day yesterday.  It's hard to keep up with all that's happening in our gardens especially as we've had good growing conditions - thankfully rainfall in the night and dry days .Here are photos of my walk and the beautiful blooms I saw along the way.  I wanted to see how the new play park at the top of the hill was progressing. It's still not open to the local community as a notice says the grass, trees and wild areas need to settle in, but the nearby café hub is generally open. The charity is run by volunteers and the facilities provide refreshments and a safe, inclusive space for local families and individuals.

I stopped at the corner of our road and looked back down the hill where there are views across the valley.  I saw smoke and hoped that it wasn't anything serious.

Decorations hanging in the bushes were made at the café hub community centre.

Back home in our front and back gardens there's a lot going on.  More about that another time.  Thank you for visiting.  Have a lovely weekend.
