My header photo for August is an old one taken on a walk by Ladybower Reservoir which is on the border between South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. We haven't managed to get there for a long time and stay closer to home for walks around our local reservoir.
Damflask Reservoir
The highest place in our area is High Bradfield. There's a good view from the churchyard of the village church right over to the moors.
Harebells were nodding in the breeze on the day that we went to take a look around the village. Again it's a long time since we've been there and it was good to see the wild flowers growing in the uncut grass in the churchyard.
I'll share some more of our walk around High Bradfield next time.
