There are modern office buildings such as the above Wicker Riverside Development Apartments, hotels (some in converted warehouses) along this stretch of the river, weirs and fast flowing water that would have been used to power mill wheels and then steam engines during industrial processes. It's an interesting walk using the modern iron and old stone bridges that span the river.
A stone sculpture in the river. There are usually more, often made by locals from stones balanced on top of one another.
Strange murals done by a local artist were painted on the retaining wall of a riverside pub quite a few years ago. They seem to blend in with the vegetation on the river bank.

Once a month a new open air event is taking place by the river - a market selling flowers, plants and garden items.
