A rich tapestry

A Walk in the Park and Walled Garden

Once a week I usually take a walk in the park. I collect books from the library and then go into the walled garden.  Today was not as sunny as last week and it's still very cold. This morning I cracked the ice on the water bath for the birds in our garden so that they could have a drink and I put out a small amount of bird seed in the feeders.

Here are a few photos that I managed to download of the Walled Garden during these Winter months.

It's uplifting to see some colour from the berries and notice the bulbs pushing through.  It won't be long before the daffodils and other Spring bulbs burst into flower.

I spotted a newish creation that must have been made and placed in the garden last year. It looks like a sleeping, curled up cat.

This is another area - the herbaceous garden that the gardeners and volunteers have cleared and dug over.  Beyond it is the wild garden and pond.

There were the two books I picked up from the reserved shelf - Richard Osman's latest crime novel and an historical novel by Kester Grant set in Paris during the French Revolution.
