We've had changeable weather, but the apples on the small tree in our garden were ready to pick. They're being enjoyed sliced up with some honey and plain yoghurt.
Despite the drizzle there were reserved books to collect from the library in the park followed by a quick walk around the walled garden. The leaves on the trees are beginning to turn or are falling to the ground, there are dried seed heads and the beginnings of the colours of Autumn on display in parks and gardens.
I shall continue to go for short walks when the weather is suitable, but relaxing with a good book will be part of my routine this weekend and I'm starting with The Rising Tide. It's the latest published book by Ann Cleeves set on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Mr P and I have enjoyed the DCI Vera Stanhope series on television. Northumberland is a county I know fairly well from holidays and the maternal side of the family connection so I'm hoping that it'll be a good read.
Thank you for your visit. I hope that you have a lovely weekend.
