Whilst Mr P and grandson were busy over in Italy working on the house and garden with some help from the man with the tractor and cutter (no photos from this year, but ones taken in 2017 when we were there as a family), I managed the English garden. I imagine it was extremely hot over in Italy and it was much the same some of the time here in most regions of the UK.
Here's a selection of what has been going on in our English garden.
A new flower bed has been planted up with pale yellow/white cosmos grown from seed and white pelargoniums.
Yesterday afternoon some of the ripe tomatoes growing in the covered yard were gathered and bottled. Home made tomato sauce with some of the other produce from the veg plot has been enjoyed. I also made a fruit crumble using plums and apricots that were a reasonable price in the supermarket. This time the fruit crumble was eaten cold with some vanilla ice cream.
