A rich tapestry

A Morning Out-and-About

On Saturday we decided to take a walk around the local reservoir and then pop into the garden centre.

There's a path that takes us right around the reservoir and then onto the villages of Low and High Bradfield.

The yachts and canoes were parked up on the bank on the opposite side of the reservoir.  It didn't look as if there were any boats out on the water that morning.

I walked along the grassy embankment towards the two towers at the end of the reservoir.  The towers regulate the water.   After all the rain we've had lately the water was high and deep.

Forget-me-knots have been planted along the path by the reservoir keeper's house.

I spotted a robin on the wall of the house.

There were quite a few Canada Geese and other water birds standing by the weir.  They like the spot because they can catch food even though the water flows fast there.

After this we walked around the garden centre where there are many new plants on offer.

Then we headed home along the Loxley Valley Road.

Here are some of Mr P's tomato plants in the covered yard.  Below is the tomato plant that he bought at the garden centre for a £1. (Money Maker)  Hopefully all his tomatoes will do well and produce lots of tomatoes. :)

Thank you for coming by.  I hope you have a good week.
