A Neighbourhood Walk

The mural on the shutters of the café by the park.

Autumn is here now, but it's still sunny in our corner of the world.  I'm still having technical issues on my computer - this time with storage space.  I can't resolve the problems at the moment as I have no-one that I can ask.  (I've edited photos so that they're as small as possible for blog posts, for example, and used less of them as well as transferring those I edit into an extra hard drive storage system). I'll keep blogging as long as possible.

Yesterday I went for a walk down our lane in our neighbourhood.  The sun had brought out the bees and the butterflies that were feasting on the ivy flowers on the retaining wall of our garden. Later I saw more butterflies when I went further afield.

A Red Admiral

There are berries everywhere and the hydrangeas are also changing colour in local gardens.

There are piles of pumpkins in the supermarkets.

Thank you for coming by.  Have a good day!

Our Week (So Far)

It has been a varied week and since the days have been quite warm and sunny it's been an enjoyable one so far. Yesterday we went to our local daughter's home as she wanted her Dad to look at the vines and cut some of the branches so that the grapes could continue to ripen.

This variety has the taste of strawberries.

Daughter M's garden is L shaped and there is decking with steps up to the top of the garden.

I love seeing Michaelmas Daisies at this time of the year.

The mauve flowers of the asters look good against the red of the Virginia Creeper growing along the fence.

The roses have gone over now and are producing large, red rose hips.

Apples will be picked from this fairly new apple tree.

On the way home .....

there were pansies in a community planter ....

.... and there was a new crocheted creature on top of the post box

Thank you for coming by.  Have a good day!
