Mr P and I had an eventful weekend since Father's Day was on the Sunday and we had a combined celebration for our wedding anniversary at our local daughter's home.
On Saturday the weather was dull, but dry and warm so we ventured out for a drive into the Derbyshire countryside There are many places that we would like to return to, but decided on a trip to the David Mellor Design Centre kitchen shop and the Hathersage village area. The last outing we had there was during the Christmas holidays 2019 when our daughter who lives in Berkshire came to stay. Little did we know that in March 2020 we would be in lockdown dealing with a global pandemic. The Design Museum and the café are still closed, but the kitchen shop is open so we had a browse around. I was looking for a large oven dish in readiness for entertaining our ever growing family once further restrictions are lifted. This time I didn't see what I wanted, but I was glad to have visited as it's such a pleasant site surrounded by trees and shrubs with a good parking area up a drive well away from the road.
