Floral Bliss # 43

My DiL brought me a bouquet of mixed flowers when she came to visit with our son and grandson. She chose one with berries and ears of wheat because she thought it looked very seasonal.

All of the flowers in the bouquet have lasted well since I received them two weeks ago.

We had a lovely day with them and we exchanged news about what we've all been doing over the summer months as we haven't had a chance to see one another since we met up in Buxton, Derbyshire, earlier in the year. Our grandson no 4 had done well in his General Certificate of Secondary Education exams. This was good since at the same time as revising for them he had also been busy with the National Youth Music Theatre during the half term holiday, boarding out in schools down in the south of England and rehearsing for Summer holiday performances of two new musical plays, Imaginary at the Other Palace Theatre in Westminster, London and Tess of the D'Urbervilles at the Theatre Royal, Winchester. At the beginning of the year he was down in a London music studio making a CD with the cast of one of NYMT's 2016 new musical plays, The Battle of  Boat.

Life continues to be busy as our local grandson no 5 comes for a meal after school several times a week before going to football training.  There are also matches, rowing training and sports events at the weekend. I've started a short study course on ancient Rome using videos, information notes and a 3D model of the buildings that were there in the 4th century AD. Thankfully I can do the course at my own pace and as I enjoy reading my library books I don't want to get eye strain.
I hope all is well with you. As always I wish you a good day and a peaceful weekend,
Linda :)
