The greenhouse is a useful place to grow more tomatoes and others are in the covered yard, flowers are forming on the tomato plants, grape vines are growing on the front garden stone wall, French beans are in a sheltered place next to a stone wall, strawberries are beginning to form fruit and apples are doing well on the small apple tree. We might not get any pears this year. It depends on the wind chill factor which might damage the pear blossom before fruit has begun to form.
We're enjoying salads now in this warmer weather.
Above is a recap of some of the beautiful flowers in our UK garden this month. Every day as I look around our garden, covered yard and other areas there's something new to see. We'll be enjoying the fruit and vegetables Mr P has nurtured in due course.

ReplyDeleteThe leaves are very tender. We're looking forward to the cherry tomatoes. They're just beginning to develop on the stems. :)
DeleteI love cherry tomatoes, I used to eat them like they were grapes. the ones we buy in the store are tasteless and not fit to eat.. I remember daddy's garden greens were really tender, had forgotten that. now everything in the store is tough to eat and no taste.. your garden is beautiful to see and eat.

ReplyDeleteGardening can be hard work but the planning, seeing seedlings flourish as well as putting something in the ground as Mr P does and watching a plant develop is rewarding.
DeleteI'm impressed by your blossom on the fruit trees! I am hopeful that we may get fruits from ours this year, as long as the June drop doesn't do its er- dropping- so much this year!x

We supplement our diet with the veggies and the blooms around our small garden are delightful and bring lots of colour. I love everything that appears in the garden during all seasons. DeleteGreenhouses are so useful if you have the space for them. I absolutely love mine. I have grown so much in there this year. Summer cropping of all the veg, salad and fruit will be delicious.
ReplyDeleteThank you Beverley and daughter D. The greenhouse is useful even though it takes up space in our small garden. It's another place where r P can grow cuttings, seedlings and plant in the ground his tomatoes. :)
