Today I'm joining Riitta's Flower Wednesday for the first time.
Autumn may be here for many of us, but there are
still flowers to enjoy in our gardens.
These were seen in our city's Botanical Gardens recently.
Everything is still green, but some trees are beginning to change
and display colours of the season.
In the walled garden next to the library in the local park
there are some late blooming roses.
This is a view of the hills across the valley from one of our two local garden centres
and there's a cheerful display of begonias in the car park.

There's still plenty of colour about, those begonias are beautiful. My roses were late getting going this year but they're blooming away now.
ReplyDeleteYes, roses are a good example of what's still blooming. I forgot to include the flowers in our garden! An excuse to go and take some more photos for another blog post!
DeleteI love that view over the hills from the carpark but of course the Botanical Garden is a place of beauty too, still so many flowers to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteNot only do we have two good garden centres five minutes from our house, but it's also a nice drive through a pretty valley.

DeleteHow beautiful the botanical gardens are looking and the walled garden near the library too. The view from your local garden centre is stunning and the begonias a bright and cheerful display to greet visitors:)
ReplyDeleteWe are fortunate to have these public gardens, garden centres and beautiful countryside near to where we live. The displays of begonias I've seen this year seem to have been bigger and better than usual. The flowers are delicate, but I think they must thrive in moist conditions and we have had a lot of rain lately.
Deleteyou know I love that wall.. and the last collage, the shadow shot with flowers is wonderful. the flower with the bee is awesome.

ReplyDeleteHello Jessica. Yes, we're fortunate to have good transport by tram or bus into the city and the public gardens there as well as beautiful countryside on the doorstep.
DeleteSuch a beautiful garden with beautiful flowers. Many will be attracted to this garden. Love the hill view and the colourful begonias.
ReplyDeleteThe gardens, local and city, are very popular. The garden centres around here seem to be doing well and even expanding. They grow and stock many varieties of plants as well as garden accessories and equipment. There are restaurants serving light meals and this is another way to attract visitors.
DeleteI have some late roses just about to flower. Even more special at this time of year, I think. The Botanical Gardens are stunning - what a lovely day out, Linda x
ReplyDeleteThe last flowers of a season are special. Even though we've had a few storms of late we've also had some lovely sunny hours. You must be enjoying your walks with the dogs during these pleasant September days.

DeleteOh that garden, the flowers are just beautiful! I am loving the Autumn gardens lately.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful array of flowers, Linda... There are so many beautiful colors and different flowers... We are coming to the end of our season. Right now, we still have ROSES in bloom, some Vinca and some Autumn Joy Sedum. The Day Lilies are gone for now --but some of the reblooming Irises are starting to bloom... We don't have much Autumn here yet since it is still VERY hot and dry...
