Dear Friends,
just a quick note to say that after surgery three weeks ago I'm recovering well at home. At first I was not able to write well or type due to the nature of the surgery. I've not felt up to blogging now that I have better mobility, but instead have been resting a lot and when the weather has been good I've been enjoying being in the garden. However, in a couple of weeks I have to go back in for more surgery. Although this means that I will have to start again with the healing process before radiotherapy treatment, I'm trusting that everything will go well in the weeks ahead. I'm so grateful for the care that is given to everyone by the wonderful NHS breast cancer medical teams, other support staff at the two local hospitals and at the clinic I'm attending. Thank you so much for thinking of me, for your kind messages and prayers. I continue to think of you and have been reading your blog posts when I can.
Also I join those around the world who are praying for the places where there has been so much heartbreak again in recent days and for all those suffering from the unrest and violence that is occurring at present.
Wishing you, my friends, a very peaceful weekend,
Linda :)

  10. Oh Linda, I am so very glad to hear from you and to know that all is as well as it can be right now. This morning, you popped into my mind and since then I have been waiting for a moment to get to my computer and send you an e-mail, and there, a post with news from you has popped up! I wonder if I somehow knew, or you did! I have been sending good thoughts, but today, I just felt that I needed to get in touch with you! I can go to bed tonight knowing that we have been in touch and that you are doing alright. I will of course continue to send good thoughts and to think of you. Until you are able to write again take care and know that we are here! Very gentle so you don't get squished hugs! xx

    1. Thank you Jan. It's always good to hear from you. I hope all is going well with you and your family. Yes, my family have been there for me all the way. My nurse/health visitor daughter has been a great support in taking time off work to come with me to hospital appointments and during surgery and I'm blessed to have Mr. P. here cooking some tasty meals.

    2. P.S. I should say our daughter used holiday leave to be with me at the hospital, not always easy to do when the NHS is under pressure with staffing levels.

    1. Yes it's a disappointing set back, shock and disappointment for myself and the family from results of the surgery biopsies, but was told the cancer hasn't spread to the lymph glands. I'm coping and I just have to stay positive. Others are far worse off than me. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
